Vincenzo Pietropaolo, born in Calabria but based in Toronto, is a social documentary photographer and writer whose life-long mission has been to explore the immigrant experience, working-class culture, and social justice issues. He has distinguished himself as a photographic bookmaker combining photographs with his own original writing, and has published a dozen art and photography books. His next book, Where Angels Come to Earth: An Evocation of the Italian Piazza, is in collaboration with writer Mark Frutkin, and will be published by Longbridge Books in the Fall, 2019.
