Dr. Paul Mitchell is an Australian author of five books: a short story collection, Dodging the Bull (Wakefield Press), three poetry collections and, most recently, a short story cycle, We. Are. Family. (MidnightSun Publishing). Paul’s short fiction has won national awards and appeared in journals such as Antipodes, Meanjin, Overland, Best Australian Stories, and Quadrant. His writing on literature and religion has appeared in numerous journals, and his essays and journalism have been published regularly in the Melbourne Age, ABC Religion and Ethics, Melbourne Catholic, Griffith Review, Eureka Street and The Big Issue. Paul has taught creative writing at four Australian universities and is working on a novel, Reunion Gig Blues.
