Nanna Goul (1980) is a Danish writer and critic of both literature and theater. Her first novel Private Woodland was published in 2012 and her collection of short stories Eeny Meeny came out in 2017. In both books, Nanna Goul works with old folk tales, myths and legends and the relation between the modern man and nature. The forest, maternity, and witches are also present themes. Nanna Goul’s short stories were, by many, considered modern fairy tales, and they are frequently used in education as such. Her next novel comes out in 2020; it is about irrationality in our modern society, modern witchcraft and the dark sides of maternity.
