Maria Pia Spadafora is a graduate student with a keen interest in translation and Italian Canadian literature and culture as well as in diaspora studies. In 2019 she completed an MA in Modern Languages and Literature, presenting as a final dissertation the translation and analysis of Licia Canton’s The Pink House and Other Stories. In June 2019 she attended Licia Canton’s workshops at Unical. Maria Pia is also a creative writer. She enjoys reading and writing short stories as well as drawing. She lives and works in Milan.
