
Lotte Kirkeby, born 1970, holds a degree in Literature and French. She has worked as an editor at Gyldendal Publishers, Denmark, and is currently literary critic and translator in addition to her literary activities.
After three non-fiction books she made her debut in fiction in 2016 with the highly acclaimed collection of short stories Jubilee. In nineteen stories she examines how we handle loss – of childhood innocence, of the ones we love or of our conception of the perfect life. Lotte Kirkeby has contributed to several anthologies and magazines, amongst others Best European Fiction 2018, published by Dalkey Archive Press, in Denmark and abroad. Her first novel, Immediates, was published in January 2019, is nominated to Danish Radios Price for Best Novel 2020 and in the 4th printrun already.
