Julia Prendergast’s novel, The Earth Does Not Get Fat was published by UWA Publishing: Australia (2018). Recent short stories were featured in Australian Short Stories 66 (Pascoe Publishing, 2018). Other stories that have been recognized: Lightship Anthology 2 (UK), Glimmer Train (US), TEXT (AU) Séan Ó Faoláin Competition, (IE), Review of Australian Fiction, ABR Elizabeth Jolley Prize, and the Josephine Ulrick Prize (AU). Recent research articles appear in: New Writing (UK) and TEXT (AU). Julia is a Senior Lecturer (Writing) at Swinburne University, Melbourne (AU). She is Chair of the Australasian Association of Writing Programs (AAWP), the peak academic body representing the discipline of Creative Writing in Australasia.
