Janet Kieffer

Janet Kieffer‘s short stories have garnered awards from the H.G. Roberts Foundation and BBC Radio, as well as finalist status in the Iowa/John Simmons Writing Awards from the University of Iowa. They have appeared in various publications, including Bomb Magazine, the Atlanta Review, Mississippi Review Online, Short Story Journal, The Bark (Berkeley, California), and Grain Magazine (Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild, Canada), and ABQ InPrint. She studied fiction writing in the Undergraduate Fiction Workshop at the University of Iowa in the late 1970s, earned an M.A. from Webster University in St. Louis, and earned an M.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her collection of stories, Food Chain, was published by Lost Horse Press in 2004. She currently teaches at New Mexico Tech.
