Allan Weiss

Allan Weiss is an Associate Professor of English and Humanities at York. He has published short stories, both mainstream and fantasy/science fiction, in various journals and anthologies. He has published two story cycles, Living Room (Boheme Press) in 2001 and Making the Rounds (Edge) in 2016. A third, Telescope, will be published by Guernica Editions in the fall of 2019. Among his scholarly publications are articles on various topics in Canadian fiction, including the short story and Canadian science fiction and fantasy, and A Comprehensive Bibliography of English-Canadian Short Stories, 1950-1983 (1988). He is Chair of the biennial Academic Conference on Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy, and has edited three volumes of proceedings from the conference, most recently The Canadian Fantastic in Focus, which was published by McFarland in 2014.

This 2021 Conference has been Cancelled.

The next conference will be in Singapore in June of 2022.
